Any country's development depends greatly on its technical education system. In the current information-based culture, technical education plays a key role and has been advancing quickly to keep up with diverse industrial breakthroughs and technological advancements. With its qualitative and quantitative approaches to Technical Education, the School of Information Technology (SoIT), RGPV which was founded in 2002–2003, is working to carve out a space for itself. Along with M. Tech. in Data Science, the School of Information Technology also offers B. Tech. in Computer Science and Business Systems, B. Tech. in CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) and B. Tech. in CSE (Data Science).

The aim is to build it to be a Center of Excellence in education and research in the fields of engineering, science and technology. The vision is to develop it to be an Institution vibrant with academic activities and bubbling with youthful creative energy. We ensure to highlight potential to each individual student and prepare them to cope up with the high level of performance in the modern-day stressful corporate world.

Our goal is to be the most preferred preference of students, faculty & industries and to be at the zenith in every discipline of engineering. Our prominence is on all the key areas like placements and results and for that we have best and qualified faculties and have state of art infrastructure. We provide an excellent infrastructure which includes Air-conditioned classrooms, LCD Projectors, Power Point presentations & providing online teaching notes & make learning enjoyable. To enhance the general standard and close the gap between academic standards and business requirements, we intend to extend already offered programmers and promote projects, R&D, and consultation that are relevant to industry. With excellence in education & research activities, we aim to make the University visible globally. A special mention about our Alumni, who are eminent and hold significant position in their profession in India and abroad. They are a continuous source of inspiration for our regular students.

School of Information Technology (SoIT), RGPV, Bhopal provides various infrastructural facilities for the students, staff and faculty members. The institute has separate hostels for girls and boy’s students with all the necessary facilities that can help in their daily routine. SoIT global facilities include gym and sports that help them to get involved in extracurricular activities. A cafeteria is a perfect place for the students to hang out with friends in their leisure time and enjoy the meals.

School Library

In addition to Central Library, a well-equipped departmental library is functioning in the department catering to the needs of faculty and students with a seating capacity of 14. Departmental library is equipped with 200+ books which cover the syllabus of Undergraduate course as well as Post Graduate course.

The objective of departmental library is to promote the use of reference books among the students. All the students in the department and faculty utilize the books in the library for their study.
